For those like me who could see it personally before completion, it was not surprising that January, 4th 2010 was the day when the international attention was caught by such a memorable event, as the magnificence of the whole project is definitely unmistakeable.

Started in 2005, it was officially open to public in one of the most complicated moments phases of Dubai’s modern history, because of the financial situation of Nakheel, one of the most important building companies of the Arab Emirates. In effect, there has been a strong emphasization of Dubai’s financial situation which is even being referred to the whole city whereas it concerns just one (though among the biggest) building companies in the UAE.

A few days after the official communication of Nakheel’s request to postpone the payment of some financing and the consequent negative reaction of the international financial community, the sister-emirate of the capital city, Abu Dhabi, has come in rescue by offering Nakheel 4.5 million $. This made it possible for Dubai’s stock market to recover on the international level and gradually focalize on positive objectives.

Burj Dubai on the air
Among the most important ones there was, surely, Burj Dubai, whose opening had also been postponed several times. When it finally took place – as already reported – on January, 4th 2010, it caught unique world publicity: no newspaper or magazine, no TV channel, no internet news channel, no blog, no radio station could withhold such a mind-blowing event. Obviously, it was an unforgettable happening where local Authorities were peacefully surrounded by a throng of people wishing to celebrate this historical inauguration and book their visit inside the Giant from the day after on. During the ceremony it was also announced that, in honour of Sheikh Khalifa ben Zayed Al-Nahyane, the sovereign of Abu Dhabi, Burj Dubai would be named also Burj Khalifa, as a gratefulness sign towards the sister-emirate and its precious help.

Inside Burj Dubai
It is possible for everyone to visit Burj Khalifa by preferably booking in advance: the ticket price amounts to Dh. 100.00 (about $ 27.00) – discounted tariffs for children. Along its 828 m, making it the highest skyscraper on earth, a world of outstanding venues: the first Armani Hotel in the world, The Residences at Burj Dubai (a number of luxurious apartments located on numerous levels thus offering the ultimate vision of comfort), numerous restaurants, opulent Spas, shopping malls, souks, clubs, libraries, multimedia centres, entertainment venues, and, on the 124th floor, “At the Top”, a number of panoramic platforms boasting literally the most unique view in the world.

Costa Rica
This country has a lot to offer! You get to experience the wildlife of the rain forests and the serenity of the amazing seashores. This is a country that could easily become your top destination and the reason is that you could do a heck of a lot things there. While on a vacation people are looking for a perfect get away! You could make that real because this country could give the best surfing experience. On top of that you get to enjoy activities such as whitewater rafting and pristine backcountry adventures. The nature is just awesom, the amazing waterfalls will make you go WOW, you can do some diving and fishing and the list goes on.

New Zealand
Peter Jackson the guy who filmed the epic trilogy “Lord of the Rings” did not do it for no reason in New Zealand. The films made that destination real popular. In the movie you have all kinds of creatures and heroes who are the work of computer programming and design but the landscapes and sceneries are REAL! Should I discuss it further?

South Africa
Amazing and breathtaking waterfalls!!! That is the first thing that comes to my mind. The wide range of rolling rivers and the magnificent wildlife and its diversity portray the whole country as a place where adventurers could explore the plains and forests as well as the wonderful beaches of this beautiful country.

Siberia
The Russian Northeast – Siberia. This land is getting more and more attention each day. If you are a tough guy and want to experience the raw life in the wild then you are in the right spot! This region is famous for its tundra lands and its dense woodlands. If you want to experience something that is new and can not be found somewhere else go to Siberia.
